OT Receptionist

OT第四天，我被派到去reception。。无所谓~反正我也没有跟着law走。。自己想去哪里就去哪里~到处装忙，是学护生涯必备的生存之道。。

这里就是reception啦~

可是我一整天都没有几分钟是在这里的。。无聊嘛。。可是至少有receive到一个patient啦。。receptionist的工作就是receive patient from ward staff。。pt从病房来的嘛。。我们就要check看他们脱了假牙没有啊，有没有对什么敏感，他们的状况咯。。有一个OT checklist的。。

超级冷啊啊~所以我穿长袖~这里就是receive patient的地方。。那个OT床~

话说回来，本来打算混一下就过一天的。。怎知道3点来了一个76岁的patient要做TURP-transurethral resection of prostate。。有点想看，就跟farid进去了。。pt有acute urinary retention。。就是小便不到。。due to BPH-benign prostate hyperplasia..prostate enlarge until narrowed the urethra..so cant urinate...and patient had urinary tract infection.. so this surgery is to remove the prostate so that the urethra do not obstruct and patient able to urinate..yii? why tyoe in english 1? ><

so, the surgery not bad la..there is a gun-like tools （Resectoscope) inserted into the patient's penis..to cut the prostate into smaller pieces..and then flush them out..

first time see a real prostate pieces..its in yellowish white colour..this two days i like keep watching male reproductive organ..zzz...actually we dont look at the penis all the time during the surgery la..because the 'gun' has a camera and we just observe the internal condition of the penis through a monitor..watching how he cut and coagulate the prostate is far more interesting than looking at the patient's thing ok...=P

and, be professional..haha

btw, im interested in watching circumcision if there is any tomorrow..><

哦！今天这个手术， patient是清醒的咯。。这次用的是epidural block。。means，麻醉他的下半身罢了。。看到uncle在手术期间东张西望。。他一定很paiseh还有anxious。。不懂下面的人在做什么。。zzz。。。还有，动着手术时还有歌听~if i die young~这次这个doctor tan没有像上次我看AV Loop graft的那个MR Azim酱一边听一边唱。。我在想如果pt是年轻的，又在动着手术。。然后突然听到这首歌。。不懂是什么心情。。if i die young~酱不吉利。。

明天最后一天在OT。。OT cross拿完了。。不懂还要做什么。。

明天recovery~~~

然后，回家！！
